THE FOODBANK is designed to help individuals and families in crisis, through the provision of emergency food supplies.Comber Baptist Church is pleased to be able to help with this vital work being performed by Newtownards Foodbank. We as a Church, involved in the Local Community, hope we can in some measure, however small, help to alleviate some of these stresses by the provision of food items as donated by our Congregation and others to be distributed by Foodbank.Up to the 31st May 2014 Comber Baptist has contributed 675 kgs to feed 75 local people, overall since Dec 2011 Foodbank in Newtownards has distributed 45,702.00 tons of food to 3,280 people providing 29,520 meals. Food can only be given to those who have a food voucher.
